We controlled the pace of the game in the first 10-15 minutes and were pressing but could not get a goal to fall. Lake Mills struck first and came out swinging even harder in the 2nd half. We lost the battle of the midfield and with Lake Mills incredible speed, we had no answer. Credit to Sean Healy for getting us on the board. We head into the long weekend with Jefferson on our mind Tuesday.
09-04-18  06:45 PM  Game     Jefferson     Home     3 - 4  L   Jefferson 3-1-4 20 Shots on goal 18 Keeper saves 17th minute and dagger in the 80th Aaron Heine 37th minute Edward Serrano 43rd minute Reese Fetherston Lakeside 2-1-3 19 Shots on goal 19 Keeper saves William Bushie 14th minute Josh Lindert 40th minute Lindert goal off a Kyle Main assist Kyle Main Goal off a Sean Healy assist We played a much better game with more heart and fire. Guys were pressing, finding feat, and the D was playing more solid. We had a few miscues and Jefferson capitalized in this back and forth match. Credit Josh Lindert for getting us on the board early and for Kyle Main’s tenacity to put the ball in the net.
09-11-18  04:30 PM  Game     Watertown Luther Prep     Away     1 - 5  L   3-2-5 20 shots on goal 13 keeper saves Nate Hintze 8th minute and 55th minute Alex Lawrence goals. 1st goal assisted by Isaias Santos 2nd unassisted. 29th minute Joel Schewe goal assisted by Lawrence 39th Lucas Martin goal assisted by Lawrence. 71th Lucas Martin goal assisted by Zair Palaciois Lakeside 0-1-1 15 keeper saves for William Bushie 14 shots on goal 46th minute Kyle Main We came out flat and LPS did what they do best. They aggressively attacked, communicated, found feet and capitalized on our first touch mistakes. Kudos to them and coach Marty our prayers are with them as they continue their impressive team run to win conference. William Bushie played more aggressive in the box as did our D Fence to stop their pressing attack. Credit to freshmen Kyle Main for getting us on the board with a sweet goal that went into the upper corner out of their keepers reach. We look to bounce back Thursday with a remake game versus the Dells.
09-13-18  05:00 PM  Game     Wisconsin Dells     Home     6 - 2  W   2-0-2 Wisconsin Dells 10 shots on goal 11 keeper saves for Ben Fish 20th minute Will Van Dinter goal assisted by Alejandro Garcia 35th minute Van Dinter again Lakeside 3-3-6 8 keeper saves for Will Bushie 16 shots on goal 5th minute Nathan Krenke assisted by Kyle Main 12th minute Luke Martin unassisted 43rd minute Nathan Krenke assisted by Josh Lindert 68th minute Kyle Main assisted by Nathan Krenke 80th minute Jack Milbrath assisted by Sean Healy 81st minute Josh Lindert assisted by Kyle Main Today we played some good team ball and were unselfish in our play with guys looking for teammates to score. Credit to Wisconsin Dells players for their speed in testing our D We were happy to see our 3 freshmen get balls to hit the back of the net. William Bushie played a more aggressive game and the score showed it. We play Martin Luther Greendale on Saturday.
09-15-18  11:00 AM  Game     Martin Luther     Home     4 - 3  W   Martin Luther 2-1-3 14 shots on goal 8 keeper saves Franky Rocha 20th minute Ben Meaux goal off a Jesus Altamirano assist 22nd minute Ben Meaux unassisted 50th minute Jesus Altamirano Lakeside 3-1-4 11 keeper saves William Bushie 12 shots on goal 32nd minute Jack Milbrath of a Dinesh Tadepalli assist 34th minute Kyle Main unassisted 44th minute Sean Healy off a Nathan Krenke 73rd minute Kyle Main header of a Josh Lindert cross In the pregame the guys were asked if they needed two goals scored on them before waking, the answer was apparently yes. Once we locked down the midfield and shut down Meaux, we were able to gain our composure and find the back of the net. The guys again were unselfish in their finding the feat of the team mates, I am proud of the way the guys battled back for the win. We play Lodi on Tuesday.
09-18-18  06:45 PM  Game     Lodi     Home     4 - 3  W   Lodi 2-1-3 15 shots on goal 12 keeper saves for Kyle Mayberry 37th minute Mitchell Figi 38th minute Jackson Furniss 70th minute Aj Karls Lakeside 2-2-4 5th minute # 30 Ben Zieser from Lodi own goaled the ball in, Chris Schwantes was closet to the ball from our team 12th minute Nathan Krenke 57th minute Kyle Main 63rd minute Kyle Main header off a Josh Lindert corner kick We came out with a fire that we have not seen before, and the beginning of the game showed it. However a mental lapse and Lodi’s speed they knotted the game back up, it was a slug fest in the 2nd half, but credit freshmen Nathan Krenke along with Kyle Main again for getting a head on Josh’s corner. William Bushie made some spectacular saves along with our bend but don’t break D-fense. We head to Heights again on Thursday.
09-20-18  06:45 PM  Game     Wisconsin Heights     Away     1 - 4  L   Heights 1-3-4 18 Shots on goal 15 Keeper saves Trevor Dimpfl 9th minute Caeben Schomber 55th minute Conner Murphy 63rd minute Camden Brown 85th Gavin Childs Lakeside 0-1-1 16 Shots on goal 14 Keeper saves for William Bushie 78th minute on a free kick Chris Schwantes laid a ball of to Jackson Stake who buried it in the back of the net. When you play the defending conference champions you have to rise to their level of hustle, aggression and communication. We did not and it cost us. Credit Jackson for getting us on the board late in the game. We bounce back on Tuesday for a 4pm varsity game versus Columbus.
09-27-18  04:00 PM  Game     Columbus     Away     4 - 2  W   Columbus 0-2-2 7 shots on goal 16 keeper saves for Quinn Meinholz 60th minute Geki Saliu 83rd. Good team win against a quick Columbus offense. Our guys found feet and played well as a unit. We bounce back Tuesday home vs Cambridge Delafield United.

The guys had a bend but don’t break mentality and our hustle did not let up. I am proud of the team and how we kept up the pressure all game.
10-04-18  05:00 PM  Game     Dodgeland/Hustisford     Home     6 - 0  W   H/D United 0-0-0 18 keeper saves for Dylan Kilmartin 15 shots on goal Lakeside 4-2-6 24 shots on goal 15 keeper saves for William Bushie 6th minute Josh Lindert Goal off a Chris Schwantes assist 8th minute Chris Schwantes 34th minute Josh Lindert of a Hayden Hendricks assist 38th minute Chris Schwantes of a Josh Lindert assist 54th minute Josh Lindert off a Nathan Krenke assist 74th minute Pierre Schulz off a Kyle Main assist It was our last home game and senior night and it was a good team win with plenty of under class man seeing the field. Thank you to our seniors and parents. We hit the road to play the undefeated Sugar River squad on Tuesday.
10-11-18  04:00 PM  Game     Wayland Academy     Away      -
10-15-18  05:00 PM  Game     Belleville     Away     0 - 3  L   Sugar river 1-2-3 23 shots on goal 3 keeper saves Julian Lutz 5th jack gentilli 52nd minute Logan Winklepleck 79th PK Michael Schliedlt Lakeside 0-0-0 20 keeper saves William Bushie 3 shots on goal When playing the 8-0 conference champs one needs to play a near perfect game. After allowing a goal in the first 5 we stepped our intensity and kept them out of the back of the net for the rest of the half. The same could be said of the 2nd half and the unfortunate hands in the box sending it to 3. We only had 3 good looks at the goal but each was right to the keepers hands. While sad about the loss we did exceed expectations both on the game as many were predicting a 9-1 score. And finally exceeding where we finished in our conference with a record of 5-4. Congratulations to Sugar river. We head to Shoreland Lutheran on Thursday for a rematch of last years first round of playoffs.
10-18-18  07:00 PM  Regionals     Shoreland Lutheran     Away     1 - 5  L   Shoreland 3-2-5 22 shots on goal 7 keeper saves Kaiden Love 3rd and 7th minute Ben Barrette goal With 2nd goal assisted by Jerry Jacinto 20th minute Charlie Riley assisted by TJ Wokjciechowski 46th minute Gabriel Saldivar 48th Ben Barrette Lakeside 1-0-1 17 keeper saves William Bushie 8 shots on goal 45th minute Jack Milbrath goal assisted by Nathan Krenke. Shoreland was the better team tonight and their possession of the ball proved it. Our mental lapses in a short period of time again set us backwards at the start of both halves. Positively speaking it was great to see the future of the program get us into the back of the net to prevent the shut out. Senior William Bushie played one of his better games despite the score. Many thanks to our seniors for brining the program back into the right direction. We finished 7-9 overall but 5-4 in conference tied for 4th. While some may view this as mediocre we see it as progress. Thanks to the parents coaches managers and players for a fun season. God willing we will be back in 2019.
